__________ Star of Epsilon was first published in REM 1, spring/summer edition, 1991. It’s a story in the Engineman series, which ran in various magazines from ‘87 to ‘91, culminating in the novel Engineman, 1994.
__________ Crystalsfirst appeared in New Moon 2, January, 1992. It’s a non-series story, similar in tone to the later Kéthani tales – quiet, unsensational, restrained, relying more on emotion than on big ideas to achieve its effect.
__________ The Thallian Interventionwas first published in The Edge, February, 1996, but it was written way back in ‘82 and rewritten extensively over the years.
